TV stars from Abbott Elementary and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia arrived in New Orleans to support their home team, the Eagles, at Super Bowl LIX. The group, including creator Rob McElhenney and co-star Kaitlin Olson, posed with an Eagles green plane before the big game.
Their trip comes after the first part of a crossover event between the two shows aired on ABC’s Brunson-created Abbott Elementary last month. The second part will air in March as part of FXX’s It’s Always Sunny premiere. A collaboration between the two shows was planned from the start, with McElhenney stating it would allow for different tones and perspectives.
At Super Bowl LIX, Jon Batiste will sing the National Anthem, while Kendrick Lamar is set to perform during halftime. The event will be broadcast live on Fox and streamed for free on Tubi.
