A new crypto-focused AI startup called Surf has raised $15 million from top investors like Pantera Capital and Coinbase Ventures. According to CEO Ryan Li, Surf’s platform outperforms popular AI tools like ChatGPT and Grok by “four times better” on crypto tasks.
Li claims that mainstream AI platforms suffer from “hallucinations,” which can lead to significant investment losses for traders. In contrast, Surf’s team says their platform provides more accurate and reliable information about the crypto industry.
Surf initially launched as an invite-only service before becoming public in September. The company reports over 300,000 users and generates revenue through subscription fees. A new version of the platform is set to launch in February.
