Swapping Siri for Google’s Gemini AI on My iPhone

I’ve grown frustrated with Apple’s voice assistant, Siri, and decided to switch to Google’s Gemini AI on my iPhone. While it wasn’t as seamless of an experience as I’d hoped, the benefits have been worth it.

To start using Gemini, you’ll need to download and install the app or update it if you already have it. Once installed, you can access Gemini through various methods, including Siri shortcuts, Control Center, and the Lock screen. The process of setting up these shortcuts is relatively straightforward, although I encountered a minor issue with renaming a shortcut.

The main advantage of using Gemini is its ability to provide more helpful and insightful answers compared to Siri. However, there are still some limitations, such as the inability to launch or activate features on my iPhone without Siri’s assistance.

In general, switching from Siri to Gemini has been a positive experience, especially for those willing to invest time in setting up the app’s various features. With its personalized approach and advanced capabilities, Google’s AI assistant is quickly becoming a valuable tool for anyone looking for a more efficient and effective way to interact with their iPhone.
