Swiss Flight Attendant Dies After Plane Fills with Smoke in Mid-Air

A Swiss International Air Lines flight attendant died about a week after being exposed to smoke that filled the cabin and cockpit during a December 23 flight from Bucharest, Romania, to Zurich. The crew member was airlifted to a hospital in Graz, Austria, where he was in intensive care before passing away on Monday. The airline, Swiss International Air Lines, is investigating the cause of the incident, which also left 74 passengers evacuated and requiring medical attention for 17 people.
