Nintendo is eager to announce its upcoming Switch 2 console after recent design leaks, according to an analyst. The leaks have shown the console’s design, including a larger size, magnetic Joy-Con attachments, and an additional button on the right-hand side.
Industry analyst Serkan Toto predicts that Nintendo will unveil the Switch 2 earlier than expected, possibly in early January, due to the overwhelming leak of information about its design. Toto believes that the leaks may prompt Nintendo to reveal more details earlier than planned.
The Switch 2 is expected to arrive later in 2025, and fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of next year’s highly-anticipated Metroid Prime 4 game on the new console. The Switch 2 will also be backwards compatible with previous games on the original Switch.
