T-Mobile has announced that it is inviting users to try its new satellite internet service, T-Mobile Starlink. The company initially planned to launch the service in early 2025, but has now begun offering beta access ahead of schedule.
Users on both Android and iOS devices can sign up for the beta program and potentially receive an invite to test the service. However, it appears that users on iOS are receiving text messages with invites after signing up for the beta, while Android users are only finding new satellite settings on their supported devices running on T-Mobile.
The T-Mobile Starlink service aims to provide internet access in remote areas without a traditional data connection from a T-Mobile tower. The plan is to eventually offer calling and data connections as well, making it a truly remote internet service.
Users can sign up for the T-Mobile Starlink beta program if they are interested in trying out the service before its official launch.
