T-Mobile customers with supported Samsung Galaxy S24 or Z Fold 6 phones are now receiving satellite messaging, a feature made available by Android 15. The beta service allows users to send texts and receive messages in areas without nearby cellular network coverage.
To access the feature, navigate to Settings > Connections > Satellite Networks on supported devices. There is no fee required, but users must have a postpaid account. The T-Mobile Starlink service remains in beta and will be available on any T-Mobile Android phone with LTE connectivity when released to the public.
Satellite messaging enables communication in remote areas where traditional cellular networks are unavailable, making it a vital feature for emergencies and other important messages. However, carrier support and compatible devices are still required to utilize this functionality entirely.
