Tadej Pogačar has strengthened his grip on the overall lead at the 2025 Tour de France after securing his second consecutive stage win in the Pyrenees. Pogačar dominated Friday’s individual time-trial, beating rival Jonas Vingegaard by 36 seconds and taking a commanding 4 minutes and 7 seconds lead over Vingegaard.
The Slovenian rider now has four stage wins at this year’s Tour de France, pushing him one step closer to winning his fourth title. Pogačar’s overall lead is significant, with the yellow jersey now within reach for the defending champion.
In other news from Stage 13, Primoz Roglic and Florian Lipowitz trailed behind in third and fourth respectively, while Remco Evenepoel slipped to seventh place in the overall standings.
The 2025 Tour de France will continue on Saturday, July 19 with a grueling 182.6-kilometer stage through mountain terrain from Pau to Luchon-Superbagnères.
