A 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck near Chiayi in southern Taiwan on Tuesday morning, affecting TSMC’s advanced chip production hub. Despite the quake, workers returned to their job sites several hours later. The epicenter was close to Tainan, where TSMC operates clusters of its most advanced chip plants supplying AI and mobile processors to major companies like Nvidia, Apple, and AMD.
