Taiwan defeated Nevada 7-0 in the Little League World Series championship game, ending a 29-year drought for the Taiwanese team. Lin Chin-Tse, a 12-year-old from Taipei, pitched a dominant five innings, striking out 13 batters and giving up just one hit. His fastball reached speeds over 80 mph, making him a formidable force on the mound.
Lin’s performance was crucial to Taiwan’s victory, which was fueled by four wild pitches and a passed ball. Jian Zih-De scored in the second inning after drawing a walk, and Chen Shi-Rong added a run in the third with an error at first base. The win marked Taiwan’s 18th Little League World Series title, the most of any country besides the United States.
Nevada, making its championship game debut, was unable to overcome Lin’s strong pitching. The last international team to win the tournament title was Japan in 2017.
