The New York Knicks are considering former Memphis Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins as their next head coach. Jenkins was fired in March after six years with the team, but his reputation remains intact despite a disappointing finish to the season.
Jenkins is one of the brightest minds in basketball and has experience in building teams from scratch. He led the Grizzlies to a No. 2 seed in the Western Conference during his tenure, and though he only made it to the second round, his track record suggests he’s capable of success with the talented Knicks roster.
However, Jenkins’ coaching style may not be the traditional fit for a team like the Knicks. But given their desire for someone who doesn’t conform to the status quo, Jenkins could be an attractive candidate to bring some fresh perspective to New York.
Jenkins’ experience and reputation make him a reasonable choice to interview for the Knicks’ head coaching position.
