Amos Heller, Taylor Swift’s longtime bass player, has shared an emotional farewell message after the conclusion of her highly successful Eras Tour. The 47-year-old musician spent over 15 years playing with Swift and is now reflecting on the journey behind the scenes.
During his Instagram post, Heller reminisced about various city stops, including visiting bass shops in Australia and getting tattoos in Ireland, as well as walking into “ringing stadiums” each night that made him feel like a gladiator. He expressed gratitude to be part of Swift’s team and praised her ability to bring out the best in those around her.
Heller also shared his final interactions with Swift, including a heartfelt thank-you message for trusting him with his role in her vision. The post was met with numerous comments from fans, including Kam Saunders, an Eras Tour dancer who expressed her appreciation for Heller’s humor, kindness, and camaraderie during the tour.
The Eras Tour achieved record-breaking success, selling over $2 billion in tickets and inspiring a best-selling book. Swift will now look to make history at the upcoming Grammy Awards, where she is nominated for six awards, including album of the year.
