Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ Album Previewed by Zoe Kravitz & Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated 12th album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl’, is set to drop on October 3rd. Ahead of its release, actress and longtime friend Zoë Kravitz has revealed what fans can expect from the upcoming album. In an exclusive interview with E! News, Kravitz called Taylor’s new music “fantastic” and praised her dedication to her craft.

The album is a reflection of Swift’s inner life during her Eras Tour, which was characterized by its exuberant energy and electric atmosphere. Working with hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback in Sweden, Swift created infectious anthems, including the titular track featuring Eras Tour opener Sabrina Carpenter.

Swift’s closest friends and family members have been instrumental in shaping her latest creation. Travis Kelce, a Kansas City Chiefs tight end, was one of the first people to hear the album’s tracks before its release date. According to Swift, the idea of having Kelce join her on stage started as a joke but eventually became a reality.

Kravitz also revealed that Swift spent time with Jason Kelce’s daughters and even bonded over baking with them. Additionally, she shared how Taylor’s family helped her buy back her master recordings in 2025 after a years-long battle.

Swift has maintained her signature approach to handling rumors and criticism surrounding her personal life, saying “We don’t” when asked about the relationship between Travis Kelce and herself. She also emphasized her detachment from social media, stating that she detaches from it in a huge way.

The album’s cover art, designed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, represents Swift’s mood after getting into the bath at the end of each night after performing on the Eras Tour. The color orange captures the sunny and energetic vibe of her life during this time.
