Top tech companies like Amazon.com, Microsoft, and Meta Platforms have dominated the H-1B visa awards in the US, securing high-value jobs for skilled workers. These companies receive nearly two-thirds of the 200,000 annual visas allocated to “computer-related occupations.” Notably, big names in the tech world are concentrated among some of the wealthiest coastal states.
The recent government report reveals that these top recipients include well-known household names such as Tata Consulting Services and Cognizant. Despite President Trump’s comments on increased application fees for H-1B visas, they still account for a significant portion of the US workforce.
