Reality TV star and wellness coach Teddi Mellencamp has shared an update on her health after a recent diagnosis progression of stage 4 melanoma. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, first diagnosed with skin cancer in 2022, thanked her supporters for their kind messages.
Mellencamp revealed that she has multiple brain tumors and two lung tumors as a result of metastasis from her melanoma. She underwent emergency surgery last month to address the tumors in her brain.
According to the American Cancer Society, melanoma is a type of skin cancer caused by abnormal growth of melanocytes. Mellencamp shared her emotional struggle with her diagnosis, stating that some days she feels strong while others are filled with sadness and loneliness.
In an interview, Mellencamp spoke about the escalation of her disease five years after leaving the Bravo reality show franchise. She expressed concern over deceiving her children by repeating a phrase she used to say before her hospitalization.
