Teen Mom Stars Catelynn and Tyler Speak Out Against Adoptive Parents

Teen Mom stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are struggling to adjust to a change in dynamics with their 15-year-old daughter Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon Davis and Teresea Davis. The couple recently revealed that they have lost all communication with the family after discovering they had closed their adoption.

In an interview on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Catelynn shared that she had to block Teresa due to her mental health concerns. She expressed frustration over being told by Dawn, their adoption counselor, that Teresa needed an apology for her actions, stating that she deserved a reaction for how Carly was treated.

Catelynn also revealed that Teresea and Brandon do not want the pair to contact Carly, even on special occasions, citing it as “uncalled for.” The couple is concerned about comments from others who doubt their right to access their daughter.

Tyler expressed frustration with people who don’t believe their public statements are helping them in their pursuit of a future relationship with Carly. He emphasized that his main goal was to show Carly they never stopped trying, and to raise awareness about adoption.

However, the biggest issue with Teresea and Brandon’s perspective is Carly’s relationship with their other children. The adoptive parents seem uncomfortable with Carly referring to her siblings as “sisters,” instead suggesting the use of the term “birth sister.”
