Teenager Sets 6 Math World Records in Under an Hour

Meet Aaryan Shulka, the 14-year-old “Human Calculator” who shattered six mental math records in one day. Certified by Guinness World Records, Shulka’s feats include adding and multiplying large numbers quickly, as well as dividing them efficiently.

Shulka set new records for the fastest time to mentally add 100 four-digit numbers (30.9 seconds), 200 four-digit numbers (1 minute, 9.68 seconds), and 50 five-digit numbers (18.71 seconds). He also broke records for multiplying two five-digit number sets of 10 (51.69 seconds) and dividing a set of 10 20-digit numbers by a set of 10-digit numbers (5 minutes, 42 seconds).

Shulka credits his numerical prowess to his yoga practice, which helps him stay calm and focused. He practices math for five or six hours a day, often combining it with other hobbies like reading and playing video games.

While Shulka’s exceptional math skills don’t run in the family, he remains a unique individual, earning his nickname as the “Human Calculator.” His remarkable achievements demonstrate the importance of dedication and practice in achieving greatness.
