The world’s billionaires have had a remarkable year, with the number of billionaires reaching a record high of 3,028 and their combined wealth increasing by $2 trillion to $16.1 trillion. However, not all gains were evenly distributed, with just ten individuals adding tens or hundreds of billions to their fortunes.
At the top of the list is Elon Musk, who has added an astonishing $147 billion to his net worth thanks to a stellar year for his companies SpaceX and Tesla. He is now the richest person in the world, followed closely by Mark Zuckerberg’s $216 billion.
The other billionaires on the list have also seen significant gains, with Larry Page adding $30 billion thanks to a 30% rise in Google’s shares, and Jeff Yass benefiting from the valuation of his private company ByteDance reaching $312 billion.

6. Jeff Bezos is not in this list as he wasn’t mentioned, instead it was Steuart Walton – $50 Billion
