Chinese tech giant Tencent has vowed to take “legal proceedings” against the US if its label as a Chinese military company is not overturned. The company claims it was mistakenly classified by the US Department of Defense and will initiate a review process to correct the error. If the US fails to resolve any misunderstandings, Tencent will engage in discussions with the DoD and consider litigation to remove itself from the list. This move comes as the company’s global reach in the video games industry is vast, owning notable companies like Riot Games, Funcom, and Sumo Digital.
