Tesla has begun deploying a long-awaited software update in China that enables advanced driver-assistance capabilities similar to its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system used in the US. The update, rolled out in batches, grants owners of vehicles in China access to features like automatic exit from ramps and intersections, traffic signal recognition, and lane changing. However, the system requires constant monitoring due to frequent interventions, indicating that while it offers significant assistance, complete autonomy remains elusive.
