Tesla recently held an all-hands meeting, which was announced on short notice and took place in the evening. The company claimed the event aimed to discuss its recent achievements and how it’s working to achieve the impossible. However, some employees were confused by the unusual timing and found the experience unprofessional.
Typically, Tesla hosts such meetings during regular work hours, but this time, it was held publicly on social media platforms like X. A livestream link was provided to attendees, only for it to be deleted 30 minutes after being posted. The company then restarted a new livestream just before the scheduled start time, which remained silent for about 30 minutes.
Elon Musk addressed employees during the meeting, discussing Tesla’s safety record, delivery figures, and progress in autonomous driving and robotics. He also fielded questions from workers, acknowledging the challenges the company is facing, including declining stock prices and protests at sales centers.
Musk expressed frustration with some protesters who are destroying Tesla property, stating that such actions are unacceptable and unnecessary. Despite these concerns, he emphasized his commitment to making electric vehicles accessible and improving their performance.
The all-hands meeting sparked mixed reactions among employees, with some viewing it as a publicity stunt while others appreciated the opportunity to hear updates from management.
