Tesla Issues 7th Recall, Affecting Over 700,000 Vehicles

Tesla has issued its seventh recall, impacting nearly 700,000 vehicles, including the Cybertruck and Model Y and Model 3 models from 2020-2025 and 2017-2025 respectively. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that the tire pressure monitoring system warning light may not remain illuminated between drive cycles, failing to warn drivers of low tire pressure.

This recall is part of Tesla’s growing list of issues, with over 5 million vehicles recalled in 2024 alone. The issue can be fixed via an over-the-air software update, which will be free of charge for owners. Notification letters are expected to be sent out beginning February 15th, 2025.

Tesla’s reliability has come under scrutiny with this latest recall, and the company must address production standards to regain public trust. The list of affected vehicles includes Tesla, Cybertruck, Model Y (2020-2025), and Model 3 (2017-2025).
