Tesla Protesters Join Nationwide Backlash Against Elon Musk’s Role

Protesters gathered outside a Tesla Service Center in El Paso, Texas, as part of a nationwide “Tesla Takedown Global Day of Action” on March 29. The demonstration aimed to express opposition to Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s involvement with the Trump administration.

Chants of “We don’t want a fascist king” and signs with slogans such as “No Nazis in Office” were seen at the protest, which drew around 80 participants. Many protesters, including veterans, shared concerns about democracy and government dismantling.

Locally, the event was organized by Pete, a Vietnam veteran who took part for the first time in his life. Protesters emphasized that their actions are peaceful and do not condone violence or vandalism.

The protest saw individuals from various backgrounds, including those who initially supported Trump but later changed their minds. Participants cited concerns over policies such as dismantling government, human rights, and military plans.

Many protesters felt uneasy about the potential consequences of speaking out, with some covering their faces to avoid identification. However, they emphasized that democracy is under threat and that it’s essential to take a stand against what they perceive as an erosion of civil liberties.

The “Tesla Takedown” movement aims to raise awareness about Elon Musk’s role in the Trump administration and its implications on democracy. The protests are part of a growing trend of opposition to those in power, highlighting concerns over government control and individual freedoms.
