Tesla Inc.’s electric vehicle sales have hit a rough patch in Europe. According to data from Germany’s KBA and the SMMT in the UK, Tesla deliveries dropped significantly in July compared to the same period last year.
In Germany, Tesla sales declined by 55% compared to a year ago, while the overall passenger car market saw an 11.1% increase. The decline was more pronounced in the UK, where Tesla sales plummeted by 60%, outpacing the 5% fall of the wider automotive market.
The sharp drop in sales suggests that Tesla is facing increased competition in Europe, particularly from traditional automakers and newer electric vehicle entrants.
