Tesla Targets Hit by Possible Arson Attacks in Italy and France

Tesla electric vehicles and charging stations have been targeted by possible arson attacks in Italy and France. In Rome, a dealership reported that over a dozen Tesla cars were destroyed by fire, with some sources estimating as many as 16 burned vehicles. Meanwhile, in central France, 12 Tesla superchargers were attacked in an arson attack at a supermarket parking lot.

The attacks are believed to be linked to protests against Elon Musk’s affiliation with the Trump administration and his backing of European far-right parties. In recent weeks, dozens of Tesla vehicles have been torched in cities across Europe, including Toulouse and other locations.

In the US, there have been violent attacks on Tesla properties, described by Attorney General Pam Bondi as “nothing short of domestic terrorism.” The Department of Homeland Security and FBI have issued a joint intelligence bulletin warning of incidents involving arson, gunfire, and vandalism targeting Tesla vehicles.

Protesters gathered outside Tesla dealerships in the US and Europe on Saturday, attempting to surround all 277 showrooms and service centers. European sales of Tesla vehicles declined by 49% in the first two months of the year, amidst growing opposition to Musk’s business dealings.
