Houston Texans receiver Tank Dell suffered a devastating knee injury, tearing multiple ligaments and damaging his meniscus, including the ACL, LCL, MCL, and dislocating his entire left knee. The second-year receiver was out for the year after suffering the injury while colliding with teammate Jared Wayne in the end zone during a game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Dell’s recovery from previous injuries, including a fractured fibula and gunshot wound sustained in a mass shooting in Florida, has been impressive. He made his season debut after recovering from those injuries but was forced to exit the game due to pain. The injury occurred when Wayne crashed into Dell’s left knee while both players were chasing a pass.
The severity of Dell’s injury is not immediately clear, and a recovery timetable has yet to be set. This marks the second significant leg injury for Dell in two NFL seasons, making his road to recovery arduous.
