This Saturday, walkers and runners are invited to participate in an event honoring cancer survivors at various locations across the state of Texas. The Mays Cancer Center, home to UT Health San Antonio’s MD Anderson Cancer Center, is partnering with Texas Public Radio to organize this community event.
The event aims to recognize the strength and resilience of cancer survivors, providing them with a supportive environment where they can share their stories, connect with others who have gone through similar experiences, and celebrate their recovery. Participants will have the opportunity to walk or run while being entertained by live music, food vendors, and interactive activities.
Registration for the event is open, and participants are encouraged to wear pink ribbons in support of cancer research and awareness. The event will take place on Saturday at various locations across Texas, and registration details can be found on the Texas Public Radio website or social media channels.
