Texas Tech has secured a massive commitment from five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo, who signed a historic seven-figure revenue share contract with the Red Raiders on Friday. The 6-foot-7, 285-pound prospect is ESPN’s No. 4 offensive tackle and second-ranked recruit from Texas in the 2026 class.
Ojo chose Texas Tech over top programs like Florida, Michigan, Ohio State, and Texas after a series of official visits this spring. He will join the program as the highest-ranked addition since ESPN began ranking high school prospects in 2006. The deal is believed to be one of the largest fully guaranteed revenue-share agreements in college football history.
Ojo’s contract includes a three-year guarantee worth $5.1 million, rivaling the lucrative multiyear package secured by top-ranked offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell with Miami earlier this year. According to Ojo’s agent, Derrick Shelby, the deal provides security for Ojo and his family as he continues to develop into an NFL draft pick.
This signing marks a significant move in Texas Tech’s efforts to assemble a strong 2026 recruiting class, which has already made several high-profile additions. The Red Raiders have spent millions on new players this offseason, including a $10 million spree in the winter transfer portal window.
Ojo joins a highly touted offensive line class for Texas Tech, which also features spring pledges Jerald Mays and Jacob Crow. His commitment solidifies Ojo as a cornerstone player in the program’s recruitment efforts.
