The Browser Company, known for its browser Arc, has released a new browser called Dia. Dia is now available in beta for existing Arc users on macOS and offers a more familiar interface with deeply integrated AI.
Dia’s core feature is its AI assistant, which can be invoked at any time to help with tasks such as summarizing web pages, comparing information across tabs, drafting emails based on writing style, or referencing past searches. The AI assistant is designed to match each task with the best AI tool and interface.
The Browser Company is building a system of “skills” on top of existing models, allowing users to access specialized tools for tasks like shopping or writing. Each skill is tailored with custom memory and UI for its purpose. Data storage and encryption are prioritized in Dia’s development, with all data stored locally on the user’s computer and wiped after processing.
Dia is currently available as a beta for Arc users on Mac, offering a more streamlined interface that feels like a browsing partner rather than software. Future updates may include additional features such as side-tab organization or workspaces.
