The Rock Explains His Absence from WWE’s Big Weekend

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been speaking out about his absence from the main event at WWE’s big weekend, which was largely centered around John Cena and Cody Rhodes’ title match at WrestleMania 41. According to Johnson, he never wanted to continue his involvement in the storyline.

When asked on The Pat McAfee Show, Johnson revealed that he had previously established a narrative for Cody Rhodes’ character, dubbing him “The Final Boss,” and felt it was time for him to step back into the shadows. Johnson believed that Cena’s win was a great finish to the angle, but would have liked to see things played out slightly differently.

Johnson also expressed his appreciation for Travis Scott’s involvement in the storyline, noting that he respects wrestling as a business. However, he did admit that some parts of the narrative could have been finessed more.

The Rock’s absence from WWE television after WrestleMania 41 has left fans wondering what’s next for him. With Cena now holding the title, speculation is mounting about potential future feuds, including one with longtime rival Randy Orton.
