The Witcher 4 Teased After 10-Year Silence

CD Projekt Red’s highly anticipated sequel to one of the century’s best video games has been teased at the Game Awards last December, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release. The game, simply titled “The Witcher IV,” marks a departure from the series’ traditional protagonist, Geralt of Rivia, as players will now take on the role of Ciri, his adopted daughter.

In the latest trailer, Ciri is shown fighting against a monster known as a “bauk,” which resembles a bear with multiple legs. The game’s demo footage has also showcased impressive 3D graphics capabilities, particularly in demonstrating realistic horse muscles and detailed environments. However, audiences have been cautious about CD Projekt Red after the botched release of Cyberpunk 2077, and some are skeptical about the quality of the final product.

Despite this, fans remain excited to return to the world of The Witcher, with many looking forward to the inclusion of Gwent, the series’ addictive in-game card game. A 2027 release date has been announced, but gamers will have to wait until then to experience the next installment in the beloved franchise.
