Apple’s next-generation iPad Pro models may feature ultra-thin bezels, potentially rivaling those found on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra tablet. According to Instant Digital, a Chinese social media platform, the bezels could be as thin as 0.5mm, thanks to LG’s chip-on-film (CoF) technology.
This tech would allow for display drivers to be positioned closer to the screen, reducing bezel size. However, Instant Digital notes that ultra-thin bezels might not be ready in time for the next iPad Pro models.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted that Apple’s M5 chip-based iPad Pro models would enter mass production in 2025. If this happens, it could lead to even thinner bezels compared to current M4 chip models.
Other rumors suggest that Apple is working on a new foldable iPhone with a dual-lens rear camera and improved display features. However, details about the device’s design and functionality are still scarce.
In related news, analyst Jeff Pu expects both the Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch Ultra 3 to arrive this year, alongside the new iPhone 17 lineup. Meanwhile, Apple is facing resistance from automakers over CarPlay Ultra, with some manufacturers walking back their earlier commitments.
Lastly, Apple has released the second beta of iOS 26, introducing several changes and refinements to the operating system. The update includes a redesigned Control Center and support for Crossfade, an Apple Music feature that improves transitions between songs.
