Thousands of protesters took to the streets on Saturday, March 29th, to express their opposition to Elon Musk’s efforts at Tesla. The demonstration marked a “Global Day of Action” with protests targeting hundreds of Tesla locations across US, Canada, and Europe.
At nearly two months into its campaign, the anti-Tesla movement shows no signs of slowing down. Protesters are seeking to harm Tesla’s sales and ultimately target Musk himself. Despite this, Elon Musk remains undeterred, ramping up threats against the protesters.
We observed protests in 10 locations worldwide, including London, New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Paramus, NJ, and Akron, Ohio. The movements were diverse, with some supporting anti-Tesla forces and others showing solidarity with Tesla.
In London, a small group of about 50 protesters demonstrated outside a Tesla showroom, featuring signs and an inflatable Elon Musk figure. This marks one of the smaller protests reported during our observations, despite the overall momentum behind the movement.
