Three Buses Explode in Tel Aviv Suspected Terror Attack

At least three buses exploded near Tel Aviv on Thursday in a suspected coordinated terror attack, according to Israeli police. The bombs were found on empty buses parked about 500 meters apart from each other in the city of Bat Yam.

No one was injured in the explosions, but another undetonated bomb was discovered on a separate bus. The devices were similar to those seen in the West Bank, and police have arrested one person.

A note attached to one of the bombs read “Revenge against the Tulkarm camp,” referring to an Israeli operation in the West Bank last week. Officials believe the attack was planned for Friday morning, but at least one device went off prematurely.

The US Embassy in Jerusalem has temporarily prohibited government employees and their families from using public buses and light rail across Israel until February 4th. The Israeli Security Agency is now involved in the investigation.

Police have urged the public to avoid the area, remain alert, and report any suspicious items.
