Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 48 points and led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 113-107 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. The win marked Oklahoma City’s ninth in its last 10 games.
Gilgeous-Alexander was efficient from the floor, shooting 17 of 26, including 4 of 6 from three-point range. He also added six assists and three steals for Oklahoma City. Cason Wallace contributed 20 points, while Isaiah Hartenstein had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Pistons’ Cade Cunningham struggled with 11 points on 5-of-18 shooting before being ejected in the third quarter. Tobias Harris led the team with 18 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Thunder’s late surge.
The game was marked by tension, including a moment of silence for former NBA player Junior Bridgeman, who passed away Monday at 75. The Pistons also drew five technicals against Oklahoma City in the third quarter, which helped the Thunder maintain their lead.
Oklahoma City will look to continue its winning streak on Sunday in Milwaukee, while the Pistons head to New Orleans on Monday.
