Titans Cancel Private Workout with QB Shedeur Sanders

The Tennessee Titans have canceled a private workout with quarterback Shedeur Sanders that was scheduled for April 9. The move comes after the team watched Sanders throw passes to receivers Travis Hunter and others during their NFL showcase at Colorado, which included all 32 NFL teams. Titans GM Mike Borgonzi praised the session, saying that Sanders threw the ball well and showed impressive skills, including driving deep balls with pinpoint accuracy.

The cancellation does not appear to have a significant impact on the Browns’ plans for Sanders, as they also attended the showcase and were impressed by his performance. Browns GM Andrew Berry expressed a strong interest in both Sanders and fellow receiver Travis Hunter, saying he would “leave here” wanting both players at No. 2 overall.

The Titans seem poised to draft Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick, but are also open to trading up if interested. The Browns, meanwhile, will continue to evaluate quarterbacks and receivers, including Sanders, Hunter, and Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter, who are all firmly in their mix at No. 2.

The team’s top 30 visits and strategy discussions will take place over the next few weeks, with Berry stating that they have several weeks to sort out different scenarios. The Browns’ interest in both Sanders and Hunter is unwavering, and it remains to be seen how the Titans’ decision affects their plans for these highly touted players.
