Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan has confirmed that quarterback Cam Ward is at the top of the team’s short list for the No. 1 overall pick in next month’s draft. The Titans were initially considered likely to trade down from their top spot, but Callahan said they are now prepared to make a strong push for Ward.
Ward, who is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in the 2025 class, has been linked to several teams, including the Browns and Giants. However, it appears that the Titans are serious about selecting him with their No. 1 pick.
Callahan named three other players – Shedeur Sanders, Abdul Carter, and Travis Hunter – as being worthy of consideration for the top spot. Sanders is a talented quarterback prospect who will visit the Titans on a private workout, despite rumors suggesting he might fall out of the first round. Carter and Hunter are also highly regarded prospects.
The Giants, who have expressed interest in Ward, are unlikely to pay the price that it would take to move up two spots in the draft. They are hoping to get their hands on Arch Manning next year, rather than taking a quarterback this year.
In the meantime, the Titans will be busy rebuilding their roster and preparing for life without Levis, who had a disappointing season last year. With Ward at the top of the list, they may finally have found the missing piece that will take them to the playoffs.
