Titans Set Tone for NFL Draft with Sanders’ Pro Day Cancellation

The Tennessee Titans have effectively sent a message to the Jacksonville Jaguars that Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward is likely to be their top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Titans cancelled Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ upcoming private workout, citing they had already seen enough from him at his Pro Day.

According to team reporter Jim Wyatt, the Titans have been thorough in their scouting process, hosting Sanders on a visit and attending his Pro Day, which was described as “very impressive”. Titans General Manager Mike Borgonzi echoed these sentiments, praising Sanders’ athleticism and ability to drive the deep ball.

The cancellation of Sanders’ private workout suggests that the Titans are ready to move forward with Ward, who is expected to join other top quarterbacks like Trevor Lawrence, C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Daniel Jones in the AFC South in the coming weeks.
