Titans Sign Four Players in Waiver Claims

The Tennessee Titans have acquired four players via waiver claims from other teams, while parting ways with five players of their own. The new additions include defensive back Jalyn Armour-Davis, linebacker Dorian Mausi Jr., cornerback Samuel Womack III, and defensive end C.J. Ravenell.

All four waiver claims are expected to bolster the Titans’ defense, which has struggled this season. Armour-Davis led the NFL in pass deflections during last year’s preseason with an interception and 20 tackles. Mausi Jr. brings experience from his time at Duke and Auburn, while Womack III has made a name for himself with three interceptions over the past two seasons. Ravenell was a standout performer in the Baltimore Ravens’ preseason.

In contrast to their new acquisitions, the Titans have released five players, including defensive tackle Timmy Horne, linebacker Curtis Jacobs, cornerback Jeudy-Lally, and tackle John Ojukwu. Center Corey Levin was also released from his contract. The roster move is part of a broader effort by the team to shake up its defense and bolster its chances for the remainder of the season.
