Tobii Dynavox, a leading provider of assistive communication solutions, is partnering with Microsoft to showcase how the company’s AI-powered Neural Voice technology can empower people with disabilities. The collaboration will take place at Microsoft’s Ability Summit, where Tobii Dynavox will demonstrate its latest innovations in AI-assisted communication.
The demonstrations will highlight how Microsoft’s Neural Voice can be used in Tobii Dynavox’s assistive communication solutions, such as the TD I-Series communication aid, to enhance personalization and speed of communication for individuals with conditions like cerebral palsy, ALS, or autism. The technology uses AI to learn the user’s preferences and adapt to their needs.
Tobii Dynavox will also showcase how its software, TD Talk, can use Neural Voice to improve phrase prediction and make communication more intuitive. Additionally, the company will demonstrate how its library of 80,000 PCS symbols is used within Microsoft’s Immersive Reader to facilitate symbol-based communication.
The partnership between Tobii Dynavox and Microsoft aims to develop innovative solutions that empower individuals with disabilities to communicate more effectively and express their unique identities. With Neural Voices available in over 50 languages, Microsoft believes AI has the power to transform the lives of people with disabilities by enhancing communication, accessibility, and independence.
