Tom Holland has fueled speculation about his potential to play James Bond in the next film, describing the role as the “pinnacle” of a young actor’s career. The Spider-Man star, 29, is one of several names rumored to be considered for the iconic spy role, alongside Jacob Elordi and Aaron Pierre.
Holland spoke about the rumors during an interview with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, saying he was aware of the speculation but didn’t want to comment on it. However, when asked about his feelings on playing Bond, he stated that every young British actor considers the role the pinnacle of their career.
The next James Bond film is currently in development, with acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve set to helm the project. Amazon MGM Studios has taken creative control, replacing long-serving producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
Daniel Craig’s departure from the franchise marks a new era for the series, which will be produced under the Amazon MGM banner. The last actor to play Bond was Craig, who portrayed the spy in five films between 2006 and 2021.
