Tom Holland’s Sudden Burst of Productivity Sparks Speculation About James Bond Role

Tom Holland has been keeping busy with two high-profile projects this year: Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” and Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”. After a nearly year-long hiatus, the actor is now back on screen with his roles in these movies, which marks his first features since 2022’s “Uncharted”.

In an interview with GQ UK magazine, Holland discussed taking time off to reset and recharge before returning to work. He emphasized the importance of setting boundaries to avoid burnout and having a slightly busy year next year followed by more time off in 2027.

Rumors surrounding Holland being eyed for the new James Bond role have been circulating, with reports suggesting Amazon MGM is looking for a younger actor. However, Holland downplayed the speculation during an interview with Gordon Ramsay, saying he would be thrilled to play the iconic character but doesn’t want to jinx it.

Holland opened up about his emotional journey while filming “The Crowded Room” last summer, stating that the drama series took a toll on him. He has since remained busy with charity work and launching his nonalcoholic beer brand Bero during his hiatus.

Looking ahead, Holland revealed he’s eager to explore a new genre – straight-up comedy. He expressed excitement about creating content where laughter is prioritized over emotion, saying it sounds like an “amazing” mission. With “The Odyssey” set to open in theaters next year, followed by “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, fans can expect Holland to be back on screen before taking more time off in 2027.
