During the June 24 episode, Sandoval shared his struggles, stating he’d let down people close to him. He expressed hope that his music would give fans a new perspective on him. Backstage, after receiving positive feedback from judges Mel B and Sofía Vergara, as well as Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell agreed to move forward.
