Controversial attorney Tony Buzbee has filed a lawsuit against Jay-Z’s entertainment company, Roc Nation, and its attorneys, alleging they are conspiring to turn his clients against him. One of Buzbee’s clients, Gerardo Garcia, claims two investigators approached him at his home and offered to help him file a lawsuit against Buzbee in exchange for a payout.
Garcia recorded the encounter and shared the video on social media, which appears to show one of the investigators disclosing their connection to attorney Marcy Croft, who is part of TeamRoc, Jay-Z’s philanthropic arm. Buzbee claims that Roc Nation and its attorneys have a history of “abusive and egregious conduct” and has accused them of trying to intimidate his clients.
Buzbee himself is embroiled in a highly publicized battle with Jay-Z over allegations of rape. He recently added Jay-Z as a defendant in the case, which Jay-Z denies. Roc Nation has responded to Buzbee’s lawsuit, calling it a “sham” and claiming it’s an attempt to distract from the real issues.
The outcome of this latest development is uncertain, but one thing is clear: Tony Buzbee’s war with Jay-Z shows no signs of slowing down.
