Toronto Film Festival Unveils Star-Driven Gala and Special Presentations Titles

The Toronto Film Festival has unveiled its star-studded Gala and Special Presentations titles, featuring world premieres of highly anticipated films. This year’s lineup includes Aziz Ansari’s Good Fortune, Maude Apatow’s Poetic License, Isabel Coixet’s Three Goodbyes, and David Michod’s Christy.

The festival will also showcase the world premieres of Bobby Farrelly’s road trip comedy Driver’s Ed, starring Alyssa Milano, Kumail Nanjani, and Molly Shannon; Russell Crowe’s Nazi thriller Nuremberg; Succession actor Brian Cox’s directorial debut Glenrothan; and David Freyne’s romantic comedy Eternity.

Other notable world premieres include Alex Winter’s murder mystery Adulthood, led by Josh Gad, Kaya Scodelario, Billie Lourd, Winter, and Anthony Carrigan; Outlaw King director David MacKenzie’s Fuze, starring Sam Worthington, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Theo James.

The festival will also feature world debuts for Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, a remake of the classic monster tale starring Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, and Mia Goth; Euphoria actress Maude Apatow’s feature directorial debut Poetic License; and Jonatan Etzler’s Bad Apples.

Additionally, Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis Presley documentary EPIC: Elvis Presley in Concert will make its world premiere, as well as James McAvoy’s California Schemin’. The festival will also host the international premiere of Clint Bentley’s Train Dreams, based on Denis Johnson’s novella.
