Toyota Issues Recalls for Multiple Vehicle Models

Toyota has issued two separate recalls affecting various vehicle models in North America. Approximately 106,000 Tacoma 4-wheel drive vehicles and 41,000 Camry and Lexus models are included in the recall. The issues center around a potential problem with rear brake hoses that can be damaged during off-road conditions, and a noncompliance issue with second-row seatbelts.

To address the rear brake hose issue, Toyota will replace the affected components with improved versions at no cost to customers. Meanwhile, for the noncompliance-related seatbelt issue, dealers will inspect and potentially replace the seatbelt assembly free of charge if necessary.

Vehicle owners are advised to check their VIN or license plate information on the relevant websites (Toyota.com/recall, Lexus.com/recall, nhtsa.gov/recalls) to determine if their vehicle is affected. For further inquiries, customers can contact Toyota’s customer support at 1-800-331-4331 for Lexus models and the Lexus Guest Experience Center at 1-800-255-3987.
