Trader Joe’s is set to open several new stores across the US in 2025, including locations in California, Washington, New York, and other states. According to the company, a dozen new stores will be opening soon, bringing the total number of Trader Joe’s locations nationwide to over 400.
Three of these new stores are expected to open in California, while two more will be located in Washington state and the District of Columbia. The remaining five new locations will be situated in Tennessee, Pennsylvania, New York, Alabama, and Maryland.
Trader Joe’s has been expanding its operations rapidly, with four new stores opening in December 2024 alone. The company’s CEO aims to grow at a sustainable rate, adding more stores without compromising the unique shopping experience that sets Trader Joe’s apart from other retailers.
The chain’s vice president of marketing, Tara Miller, stated that the company looks for areas where people congregate, considering factors such as access and traffic patterns when selecting new locations. Unlike some other retailers, Trader Joe’s is committed to maintaining its distinct identity in every store it opens.
These new additions will further solidify Trader Joe’s position as a leading grocery retailer, offering customers convenient shopping options across the country.
