Travis Kelce Breaks Chiefs Record with 77 Receiving Touchdowns

Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce has etched his name in franchise history by breaking the record for most receiving touchdowns. On Christmas Day, he surpassed legend Tony Gonzalez’s mark of 76, and his 77th touchdown gave him the top spot.

The NFL confirmed the stat, and the Chiefs celebrated with an Instagram post showing Kelce’s face alongside the words “most receiving touchdowns.” Although Taylor Swift wasn’t present at the game, she left a supportive “like” on the photo.

The record-breaking performance came just four days after Swift attended the Chiefs vs. Texans game, cheering on Kelce in fuzzy, red attire. The pop star was spotted wearing a long red coat and black pants, along with a Tod’s bag and knee-high boots.

Kelce has continued to have a record-breaking season for both the franchise and the league. His latest major play included a 19-yard reception against the Carolina Panthers, which put him third in NFL history for receiving yards among tight ends.

In an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Gonzalez praised Kelce’s achievements, saying it’s great that Taylor Swift has brought new attention to the NFL. Gonzalez also shared how he’s enjoying his newfound popularity, including interactions with young fans like the 10-year-old girl who asked him about Travis Kelce.
