A tropical storm has formed in the Pacific Ocean while another is churning in the Atlantic Ocean, according to forecasters. Tropical Storm Henriette was announced by the National Hurricane Center and is centered about 895 miles southwest of Baja California. The storm has maximum sustained winds of 45 mph and is moving west-northwest at 15 mph. Despite this, there are no threats to land, and no watches or warnings have been issued.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Dexter in the Atlantic Ocean has maximum sustained winds of 45 mph, located about 275 miles north-northwest of Bermuda. It’s moving northeast at 15 mph and is expected to weaken into a post-tropical cyclone by the middle to late part of the week. Both storms are expected to continue on their current paths without impacting land. This marks the fourth named storm in the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season for Dexter, while Henriette is the eighth named storm in this year’s eastern North Pacific hurricane season.
