Trump Administration Unveils AI Action Plan by End of Month

The Trump administration is set to release a 20-page AI action plan by the end of the month, outlining its approach to artificial intelligence. The plan aims to promote innovation, reduce regulatory burdens, and overhaul permitting processes.

Key aspects of the plan include specific goals that can be achieved during Trump’s second term, but it does not delve into debates on copyright and model transparency. Instead, it focuses on laying out the administration’s aspirations for AI, which have been publicly discussed.

White House Office of Science and Technology Policy spokesperson Victoria LaCivita confirmed the plan will provide a federal policy roadmap that goes beyond reported details. The release is expected to be soon, but some executive orders related to AI are still pending and may face legal hurdles.

Separately, Rep. Thomas Massie is pushing forward with efforts to force a vote on releasing Jeffrey Epstein files, gaining support from both Democrats and some Republicans in the process.
